Antarctica - Huge tabular icebergs
During my Hurtigruten Nordnorge Antarcticatrip we made a cruise in the sea channel of the Antarctica Peninsula.
Huge tabular icebergs as big as 2 football fields where floating in the ocean.
Although the captain tried to go in between the icebergs, his channel was on a certain moment completely blocked by tabular icebergs (cut off from the main glaciers and thousands of years old) and we had to return.
These huge icebergs (and we have only seen little ones) are amongst the most special and fascinating elements of nature i have ever seen.
